Overview
About Me
Our family (me, Kevin and 4 boys) hosts families and travelers (Wwoof and Helpx), at our community Farm, Good Note. We share our land and animals as well as any knowledge we have on how to grow good food, organically and truly sustainably in a small and intensive scale. We host classes and camps here too.
We homeschool all our boys, strengthening our family memories and traveling together.
I love teaching, music, basketry, cheese making, soap making and anything else I learn. I love discussions about how we can make our world more cooperative and less competitive, and how that may result in a society that prioritizes family, healthy environments and continued resilience for all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My husband Kevin and son, Rigel(14) and I are travelling whenever possible to leave our farm with our community members. We want to improve our Spanish, but even more important is to understand other cultures and learn from them. Our surrounding culture is so full of greed and Consumerism that we need to re-centre ourselves periodically so that we can share that mentality here at home.
Interests
My Interests seem to change yearly! But the things that stay constant are family, music and food.
Right now I`m into the tiny house movement, communal living arrangements, willow sculpture and getting rid of stuff .

Music, Movies, and Books
Old Time Barn Dance music, Folk Music, new and old
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I loved exploring the `rainforest` behind our house as kids in Costa Rica, pretending we were roughing it... walking through rivers, making forts, building fires, running from snakes and spiders.
Teach, Learn, Share
Given the materials (willow or Bullrushes) I could teach you how to make a basket. Or perhaps make cheese, or soap or spin wool or knit or crochet or weave. I have many recipes for cooking in my head as well :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to jam, playing music together, sharing songs and stories and teaching our old time favourites...lots of barn dances that go with them too , like: "Sasha, Sasha, 1,2,3!!!"
