Overview
About Me
I'm a lover of the outdoors and adventure and am always up for exploring a new place and meeting new people. I'm excited by traditional craft and enjoy spending time working on my business making hand-tied broomcorn brooms, hand-carved spoons, turned wooden bowls and hand-carved wooden bowls. I also love exploring other areas of traditional craft such as carving canoe paddles, knitting, brewing beer, and so much more. I enjoy gardening and foraging for edible plants and mushrooms and love eating good quality and wholesome food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to get out and explore the country and world as much as possible. I would much rather meet interesting people while traveling and learn the ways of locals rather than to stay in a sterile hotel. I also love inviting people into my home and learning about all of the great experiences they've had.
Interests
Hand craft, gardening, food preservation, brewing, traveling, hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, self-sufficiency, reading, swimming in lakes and rivers, learning guitar and mountain dulcimer, and so much more! Life is too short!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Not too picky - folk, bluegrass, some old-school country, a little punk-rock, alternative.
Books: I like reading about the outdoors, environmental issues, anything that will teach me about the world I'm living in, good historical novels, short stories and so much more.
Movies: Don't watch too many but enjoy a good documentary.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is deciding that the life I was leading for the past 10 years was not what I wanted to do. I quit my job, started a business, left a relationship and decided to dedicate my life to doing things that I loved rather than conforming to the standards of society.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can provide new and interesting perspectives about my experience in the world, I can lend an open ear and heart to those wanting to share their own experiences, I can be a friend for dinner and an evening out, I can teach about the various hand-crafts and traditions that I've learned and experienced.
