ABOUT ME

Matthew and I love to travel but have been a bit myopic in that we tend to go back to the same place over and over. We love creating home and really getting to know a place. We both work in technology but we love talking about politics, sociology and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are usually hosts - and when we travel we tend to rent apartments, but we'd like to reach out more to others and stay with some people in new places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have stayed with friends and friends of friends all over the United States - when taking road trips.

We have also hosted people from all over - our home is always open but we prefer people who will have dinner with us and engage in interesting conversations. We've also hosted youth exchange students on several occasions - which is altogether different but also wonderful.

Interests

Good food & wine, dinner-party conversations, books (sci-fi, non-fiction & gen fiction), music (folk, singer-songwriter, classical, rock), community, Unitarian Universalism, Spain, creating & modeling business, ceramics/pottery, swimming, cycling, travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am amazed by the connection we have with Dolphins and Whales - I have been privileged to 'meet' many of them while sailing in Banderas Bay on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
