About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See as many new places and try as many new things as I can!
ABOUT ME
I like to try new things. There are SO many different things that I want to see, do and try I can't list them all! I like doing adventurous things, like rock climbing, snowboarding, diving and flying, but I also love to read, travel, learn other languages, help people and learn about other cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe we were put here to love, help, and serve others and to make the world a better place!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't really have a couch to offer right now, but I would be happy to show anyone visiting around... :) But I also have gotten some friends involved as couch surfers to enlarge the CS community (and they had surfers just about every weekend until they moved!) I also try to get involved with the local CS community wherever I happen to be living. It is a good way to make new friends with people also interested in traveling and learning about other cultures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met a very cool CS girl in Venice while she was backpacking thru Europe and I was working in Italy and we hung out there and then met in Verona a week later. Because of her, my neighbors and I joined the original CS project. Then I went to Rome one weekend and met another CS who spent the day giving me an awesome tour of the city! My first actually couch-sleeping-on (with CS) experience was in Sofia, Bulgaria and Adam was an AWESOME host who I just can't say enough good stuff about!!!!!!! I had only one not-so-good experience when I traveled to Morocco, but that hasn't deterred me since everyone else I have met thru CS has been GREAT!!! You can't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch, right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed to the roof of the Heidelberg castle Germany with 2 friends of mine about 2 o'clock in the morning! I also ran a half marathon -- I'm sure 13.2 miles is not a big deal to some people, but I REALLY do NOT like to run!!!!!!!!! And most recently I helped build houses in Uganda and got to drive a "boda boda" (motorcycle taxi)! Got to ride an elepant in Nepal and a camel in Egypt! Not to mention flying a plane all alone (which was terrifying and exhilirating all at once) and learning to dive in 3 degree water in Germany (just to make it a little more challenging, since I was already nervous enough from having almost drowned when I was younger...) Piloting a boat full of people in Sardinia while the skipper was patching up my ankle after falling down some steps... :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I remember once an older gentleman asked if I was a student and I told him no, but my Dad was there and he told the man I am a "student of life", so I thought that was kind of cool. :)
