ABOUT ME

Hi there. What's up? My name is Marina but I'm sure you already know that. You think I am just an ordinary girl that is 24 years old, grew up in Germany and loves to travel!? I hope I can proof you wrong.
You heard that Germans drink a lot of beer? You are right this time! It's nice to have a drink with friends (PROST!). What is there to say? I have ants in my pants. Not to be active drives me crazy. Sports clear my mind. Besides that, I enjoy hanging out with friends and just being in good company.
I used to play the clarinet in an orchestra. I can be very passionate and competitive when I play table tennis and soccer. I love to read. Books offer a great way of disconnecting from reality. I am a dreamer! I could just sit somewhere for hours and observe the place and people around me.
And...actually I hate describing myself on a piece of paper, so you better find out yourself!

It would be great to do CS when I travel around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done couch surfing twice so far. I planned a trip to Canada with a friend. When she suggested "couch surfing" all I thought was: "Are you crazy? Doesn't that mean you sleep at a stranger's house!?...But...sure, why not? Lets do it!" And I really don't regret that decision. We did it in Toronto and Ottawa and it ended up being amazing. I really had a great experience thanks to nice people that took care of us and even showed us around the city. Our last stop was Montreal and "just in case" we booked a hostel there. But honestly before even seeing our accommodation I was already craving for a couch...the couch surfing craze finally got me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending one year abroad in the U.S. Definitely one of my wisest decisions. A great and life changing experience.

Hiking in South Tyrol for a week. We lived in a small wooden hut, a cold shower and one walking hour away from any kind of civilization. Sounds bad? There is no better place to find peace and quiet than in the mountains!

Teach, Learn, Share

I wish I could have the time and effort to learn every single language in this world. There is nothing more inspiring than learning about someone's totally differnt culture, habits, interets, ideas...
