About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Raising my son - a big adventure.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 28-year old political scientist and live in Stuttgart with my boyfriend and my baby boy. I work at the university. Before moving to Stuttgart, I spent three amazing years in Berlin. :) I'm half British and half German, and have previously also lived abroad in Turkey and Britain.
Currently, I am quite busy raising my son who was born in autumn 2018. I also love talking, cooking, the movies, having a cup of coffee or a beer with friends, second-hand-clothes shopping, decorating, playing darts, table football or pool, but right now I am sticking to decaf coffee and early nights. ;)
I am interested in sustainable lifestyles and consumption and yes, I do grow vegetables instead of flowers on my balcony. But I'm not the type to lecture anybody, so don't worry.
I love to share ideas and knowledge, as well as experiences (in particular concerning travelling), and to have a good laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Maybe I will surf someones couch soon...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfing: Two fun days in fascinating Kyiv in October 2009 and two days in Ankara with Val, which was great fun. Thank you so much for the hospitality!
Hosting: I have hosted a couple from Quebec on a world trip and two very nice French girls. :-)
Interests
Book and film-lover. I love playing games and going to thermal baths (we have a lot of them here), cooking, barbeque (vegetarian ;)), chilling in the park... Also, going for a swim and camping in summer!
At night, I'm more the pub person (and into darts, table football, pool and the likes) than the nightclub gal. However, my partying days are on hold right now anyway. ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
Some books I enjoyed:
City of Thieves, Memoirs of a Geisha, Im Schatten des Windes, Suite Francaise, Wicked, White Oleander, The Catcher in the Rye, Die Mitte der Welt

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Celebrated Songkran (Thai New Year) in Bangkok.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, German, the German cardgame of Binokel (and lots of other card and board games), Backgammon (Tavla), I can cook vegetarian lasagne, risotto, curry and other things, I love decorating, and of course I know quite a bit about babys and attempts to raise them sustainably. ;)
I really want to improve my Arabic, which is super basic. And cooking food from your region, whether that's Colombia or France. :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
A calm and spacious apartment with lots of places to sleep, good knowledge of the city of Stuttgart and attractions in the surrounding region (in fact, in most of the state of Baden-Württemberg).
