ABOUT ME
Note to potential hosts - if you got message from me, it means I did read your profile and I'd like to stay with you not just to stay anywhere with anyone :) I expect same from anyone, who want to stay at my place and to see that in your request message. Quality over quantity ;)
I used to travel a lot for work and now have a bit more settled period enjoying benefit of normal lifestyle: being able to make plans 1 month in advance, sign up for classes with regular attendance and attend friend's wedding;)
Yet all this traveling made me into who I am and I'll be happy to share these experiences with you.
PHILOSOPHY
'Find people like you to like you' (cannot remember the source) - would love to debate over it face to face if anyone feels like :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being a decent guest and bringing some small souvenirs to my host in addition to being maybe first Lithuanian you met, ready to tell you why our language is different from Russian, and give tips of surviving in at least 10 airports...
Joining or organizing some CS events (some of them need determination from the CSers - such as meeting for a picnic at 9 am on Sunday morning)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Main take from CS: no matter where you go - is it rich or poor, people still want same things: friends, family, wealth and just happy life. Yet definition of happiness differs.
And yes, a moment of sentimentality - my beloved CS gangs in Dhaka and Jakarta... These big cities would never look same without you!
Interests
Rediscovering the world and finding answer to 'what do I really want...?'
aside from that, live music, reading, appreciating arts and planning to make an invention that would turn off the light in the room when I'm in the bed without getting out from it..
Swimming, walking.
And of course, food is second if not first religion in Singapore - so let's go makan - Thai, Nasi Padang, Vietnamese, zillion versions of Chinese food and what Singaporeans call 'Western food' - anything that's not Asian.

Music - indie and electronic
Movies - art cinema, many Asian, European directors, some Hollywood dramas a good comedies once in while
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Watching 2 turtles kissing in the bottom of the sea -> Visiting ship repairing yard in Dhaka and meeting a man building a huge ship propeller using only his hands
Teach, Learn, Share
Explain methodology of observing Variable stars, point out most common mistakes while swimming freestyle, share experience why traveling for work is not always dream and see above on optional short lecture of authenticity of Lithuanian language.
And take you to the shop that has best cinnamon bread in Singapore!
... can anyone teach me how to get best out of my DSLR?
