About Me
CURRENT MISSION
discover, learn, be curious, ...not sure whats my mission right now, trying to find it out
ABOUT ME
Well, how to begin...I love cooking. For some reason cutting onions or giving potatoes a scrape calms me and of course the anticipation to create sth delicious to eat is great :). Even so i wouldn't say, that i'm a marvelous cook.
Some friends think, i'm a bit overpassionated with repairing, fixing or bulding stuff. But i just love to see the result of what i'm able to create with my own hands. When i moved to Passau for studying i spent some days in the basement to build myself a bed and a desk. It's surely not the highest quality, but it's special and didn't break into pieces until now.
The same counts for bikes, old, noicy bikes, that have a screw loose. I buy them cheap and I'll ride them until i'm overtaxed with repairing the current problem. I'm sure that you sometimes just need to ride your bike sensitivly ;).
What else...i'm crazy about watermelons and fries. I could nourish myself almost only with that :D.
I spent my holidays always travelling...doesn't matter if it's by bike, hitchhiking, walking, climbing, kayaking. I love the freedom you'll feel in the mountains, at the seaside, camping somewhere in the nowhere, generally discovering new, exciting landscapes, cultures, people. I started with Europe, why should i take a plane to Southamerika, when i've still never been to the neighbouring countries? But for sure sometime i'll also leave the border to european states behind me.
And last point for now...i'm fascinated by Eastern Europe and especially Ukraine. I lived there one year working as a volunteer with disabled/handicapped people. When i wasn't working, i travelled, explored the country, environment, cultur and people. And i admit that i love every part of it...food, vodka, the language, the character of the ukrainians, ... . I really can't understand people, that think Eastern Europe is not worth it to be visited!
PHILOSOPHY
I can get on with every couch ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While i'm studying i like to host people. When i travelled through Greece with two friends for one month, i made my first surfing-experiences and it was awesome! Sure I'll try it again at my next trip that goes to France, Italy and Greece again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since i'm living in Passau i hosted a few people and i surfed some couches in Germany and Greece. My flatmate also hosts surfers. All of them great experiences with different, very interesting, open-minded travellers, students, hippies, hitchhikers, ...i enjoyed isrealian food and coffee, greek nightlife, spanish lessons, italian dancing to crappy bavarian folkmusic, dutch fascination about german supermarkets, great travel experiences and storries,...you only gain a lot from those experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived one year in Ukraine and it was fantastique! The Ukrainians who shared there time and live with me, who showed me there culture, helped me to feel at home in an other country, who became close friends.
I also travelled a lot and i discovered unbelievable, wonderful places: The small desert close to Cherson - even if it's very small you'll loose orientation easily surrounded by sand, sand, sand, sand...absolutly empty and same time fascinating, a bit scary for me with venomous snakes and spiders and soo wide and free.
Then, the hike in the mountains on Crimea with sudden views from 1000m above of the sea (with a lot of dolphins!) and the cities nearby.
Teach, Learn, Share
Mh...since i'm a fanatic of watermelons, i know how to find the juiciest, sweetest and generally most delicious watermelon. And of course i can tell you how to choose it!
I think i can also help if someone has a question about russian. Okay, i don't speak this language perfectly, but i lived one year in Ukraine and completly dove into the culture, which includes of course also the language(s). Any question to this subject will be answered ;)
If you'll travel with your (transverse) flute and you want to know a new grip or some tricks, i'm sure i'll find something to tell you from my 10 years experiences with the flute.
I know the basics of juggling (with matches, indian clubs and rings, and tried also once with knives), slacklining and hitchhiking, which i can teach you. And i'd love to learn more about that, new tricks.
I'm also interested in martial arts and if you know sth about it, some basic moves or tricks, i'll be very glad to learn it.
Also i'd like to learn how to play the guitar, just some simple chords to begin with...
...and how to sew!
