Overview
About Me
hi! I'm Marina, 27y.o.
Originally from Ukraine🇺🇦, I live in Tbilisi, Georgia with my boyfriend. We relocated together before the war started. We have also cat, this is a street Georgian cat, we took him home 🐈⬛
I work as a project manager at an SEO company and he is web developer. Working remotely allows to travel periodically.
What I love: travels, visit my dance lessons in Tbilisi, concerts and festivals, cats, mountains, board and card games, spending time with my friends. I feel attraction to kinda of extreme things also - skydiving, paragliding, climbing on the roofs, ride a motorcycle as a passenger, scuba-diving, skiing and so on. Everything what gives emotions and let to feel alive.
I love meeting new people in my life, getting to know them, their experiences and points of view. I also embrace differences and love meeting something that is not in me or my life. I believe that we get to know ourselves better by meeting other people.
I have visited not a lot and not a little - 19 countries, some of which I have visited several times. Of the European cities, the ones that have stuck in my soul the most are Rome (3 days), Paris (many times and many days) and Barcelona (6 hours). Yes, only 6 hours haha but I tend to think that no matter how long you've known a person or a city, you immediately feel if it's yours and every time you want to come back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new amazing people in my life.
If I host someone, I learn profile carefully and only accept those who resonate with me. And I've never made a mistake:) All people I hosted soooo lovely.
If I send someone a request, I learn the profile and write a message if person resonate with my soul. I don't need free accommodation for the sake of accommodation. Most often, when traveling with my boyfriend, we rent accommodation and rarely use couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎵 Music:
I think electronic music is not my thing) But in general, I can fall in love with a song from any genre and any country - be it rock or classical or something else maybe.
The famous concerts I have attended: RCHP, Muse, Sting, Depeche Mode, Imagine Dragons, Hurts, Three Days Grace, Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Martin Garrix, John Newman, Placebo and many others.
🎥 Movies:
Most of all, I love films with meaning) Either based on real events or biographical. I also like atmospheric films (for example, Hong Kong cinema). And films that show genius or a brilliant mind.
📚Books:
I love books that make me better or make me think about something important. From fiction, Remarque and Beigbeder left an imprint on my soul. Also I love poetry a lot!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped with a parachute
I flew paragliding twice (once in the field, the second in the mountains).
11-hour hiking up a mountain in Georgia (country) without absolutely any preparation and equipment. height 2870 m
Spent 156 hours from Tbilisi to Paris and back visiting other cities along the way on buses, only because I’m afraid to fly 🙈
I ran 12 km without stopping (this was a marathon requirement) without absolutely any preparation, only because my friend lied to me that I would only need to run 2 km 😂
Won the all-inclusive-travel to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt on Facebook for reposting post.
Visited Christiania (Denmark), ate half a cupcake. Instead of the promised 2 hours, I was “under the impression” for all 6 hours.
Teach, Learn, Share
teach: Ukrainian and Russian languages I think :)
learn: practice my English and learn a few phrases in your native language
share: food, drinks, stories
What I Can Share with Hosts
In Georgia, Tbilisi: separate room, Georgian wine, travel in our car if we have time, spend time together in the city, in the bar. Playing boardgames in our apartment with our friends in the evening (I usually introduce my hosts to my friends if they up to). In the same time I don’t insist on spending time together, you can do whatever you want, I understands you have plans and want to spend time in your own way. I'm absolutely fine with that because I also was being hosted. I always give the keys to our guests.
