Über mich
I consider myself a happy, and fun loving person, interested in traveling and learning about people and different cultures.
I grew up in a middle-class family who doesn't travel that much. My Dad, at the age of 50, hasn't ridden a plane or went to a place away from home. He isn't interested, and that's why we don't go anywhere too.
I discover my passion for traveling when my sister got a cheap ticket to Boracay (it's a famous beach in the Philippines). It's our first time to go "far," and our first time to ride a plane (at the age of 21). We didn't tell our parents about it, and I remember we were so scared.
It was so liberating, it's like suddenly we are free! That trip ended up to be the first of many trips. And now, our Mom travels with us too :)
I love to see new places, so I make it a point to travel when I feel stress. Traveling is one thing that makes me euphoric. I get to know myself more, experience different cultures and get to see the World beyond what the media shows. Traveling is an eye opener for me, it gives us the opportunity to value others and understand them from their history.
Recently, I am enjoying solo travel as it makes me closer to my inner self, and it's easier to meet new people. I also love the liberty of not planning anything and doing just random stuff.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I haven't couch surf "officially" yet. But I had someone let me in her home in Thailand.
I met her on a Train Ride from Laos, and we struck a conversation. When she found out that I didn't book my accommodation yet, she offered me to stay at her house. That was the first time I really felt living like a local. She guides me with where to eat, where to go, and where to go shopping before I go back to the Philippines.
And that is why I became interested in Couchsurfing.
To takes me to places I wouldn’t otherwise go.
To meet interesting people.
To live like a local.
To feel at home even if you are far away.
To know the best places to go to.
To know yourself more.

Update: I've surfed when I was in Japan and I've met amazing people there! It's the first country where I really use CS both for staying in someone's place and meeting people. So far, I've met so many interesting people when I visited Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, and Hongkong... CS people are the best storyteller and travel buddy!
Couchsurfing has been a necessity app when traveling!
Musik, Filme und Bücher
I love listening to acoustic and pop music. I don't have a favorite song, but I do have a favorite band, Coldplay!
For movies, I love inspirational and tear jerker kind of films. Also Rom-com and sci-fi.
I always save ebooks before a travel so I have something to do while waiting on airports, I love non-fiction and self-help books.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
•Traveled for a Month in Dubai even if it's 55°C outside
•Full Moon Party in Thailand with 20,000+ people (what a crazy fun night!)
•Ride Hot Air Balloon in Laos
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can teach you anything about the Philippines. We have 7,107 islands, so we would have lots of things to talk about.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I can share my time and my stories. I love traveling solo as I get to experience the place even more, and get to know people up close. I can tell you about my adventures in South East Asia. You can also ask me about working online, digital marketing and being a digital nomad :)
