I'm a former big time traveller who has hung up the backpack for a little bit! I was born in Dublin, left it for a very long time, travelled the world, came back and am very happy to be home, living in a nice house by the sea, 3km from Dublin city centre.

I like being able to help people who need a place to stay - although I'm not into being a place to crash for free loaders.

I'm a bit excited about the prospect of taking a few city breaks myself as well. I'd really want to visit Scandinavia more.

I enjoy lots of genres, have been reading a fair bit of Scandinavian thrillers recently. I loved "Americanah" by Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
