ABOUT ME

i grew up and lived in/around l.a. my entire life, save a few precious travels. a couple years ago i decided to chuck the west coast life to seek out my fortune on the east coast...and by fortune i mean figuring out what to do with myself in the present and future. not the past, though. i'm too busy re-energizing to bother with time travel nonsense. so what should i do with the rest of my life? circus performer? guerrilla artist? hot-dog eating contest champion? investment banker? feel free to weigh in. i just might do it. until someone gives me some appropriate instruction on that matter (oh FINE, i'll figure it out myself), i'm trying to just enjoy myself. i spend all my money on travel, music, and occasionally delicious things to eat and drink. i live with

*so all this sojourning has completely changed my life direction, and i am becoming a permanent east-coast resident (for now). on the docket: month-long road trip east-west, following my favorite band up the west coast, working on a farm in the pacific northwest for the summer, then moving to boston. if you fall within that triangulation, let's join forces!

Musica, film e libri

so so much music. my music collection tends towards artists who have folksy roots, no matter where their influences have taken them. i am in love with a multitude of artists, but tend to obsess about one particular at a time (at present it is the avett brothers). when it comes to the live music...well, i love it in all genres and forms. a classical instrumental metal band in a smoky club, an orchestra in a field, 10 bagpipers on a truckbed, a lone harmonica player on my couch. i love anything that makes me dance, whether those movements actually look like dancing or just frenzied jumping and spinning about. i love the banjo. and accordion. and fiddle. i will travel to far off places to see performances. i love when friends old or new teach me about their favorite artists, and are open to hearing mine.
