About Me

CURRENT MISSION

BROOKLYN

ABOUT ME

DISCLAIMER: I will be traveling most of this summer, with some availability to host in July & August. Starting in September will be my last year of graduate school, leaving me with little time to host/hang with couchsurfers! Lo siento mucho.

I enjoy the ocean, drinks, new places, vinyl, culture, people. I like my music live, my food vegetarian, my friends the realest and my travel as much as possible. I am brand new to NYC! Currently living in Williamsburg and studying Sociology of Education at NYU. Want to explore with me or show me around the city? Sure.

PHILOSOPHY

"Look, Gramsci, the Italian Marxist, believed in pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the spirit. You must look at what's happening now. If it's unpropitious, say it's unpropitious. Don't fool yourself. Analyse the conjuncture that you're in. Then you can be an optimist of the will, and say I believe that things can be different. But don't go to optimism of the will first. Because that's just utopianism."-Stuart Hall

"It's appropriate to be depressed sometimes. Who wants to be 'even' day after day? If you just killed three people in a DWI accident, you should feel bad. If your whole family molested you in a giant basket on Easter morning, you have the right to be grumpy every once in a while. But feeling down can make you feel up if you're the creative type. The emotional damage may have already been done to you, but stop whining. Use your insanity to get ahead." -JOHN WATERS
