About Me
Hello couchsurfers,
I can't host people at the moment. Also, I only host one person at a time, and I would only make an exception for a mother with small child. Please don't insist.
Feel free to contact me for information about the island.
----
I'm a linguist and my job is to teach Portuguese.
I live in a beautiful island (Ilha de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis), have two cute cats and a long term boyfriend. I like to visit new places and try new foods. I read a lot and also like to watch movies.
I'm organized and adaptable and I'm used to share space with others. I don't smoke.
When I travel I usually prefer to stay with friends or in hostels because is much more fun to be around people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From time to time I have to go to conferences and stay just a few nights. It's a little depressing when I have to travel alone so couchsurfing seems like a good opportunity to have a place to crash and at the same time meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Jazz, Brazilian music and Classical.
Movies: Wes Anderson's movies
Books: A thousand and one nights, the Discworld series, poetry by Fernando Pessoa
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The moonrise at Praia Mole, a shower at Iguaçu Falls and a jump of an airplane.
When a student comes to me and tells me I made a difference in her/his life, for me that's pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Portuguese, obviously ;)
But since I like cooking, I can also teach you a few tricks in the kitchen and receipts, including vegan and vegetarian dishes (although I'm not a vegan) and traditional Brazilian sweets and desserts.
I can also teach you to do origami since it is one of my hobbies!
