About Me

It seems you stumbled upon my profile! Benvenuti :D

CURRENT MISSION

Finally getting a law degree and moving the hell out of here!!

ABOUT ME
When I was little, I went to an American school and learned the language. Been practising it ever since going to summer colleges and other schools. After 9/11 my parents thought it would be safer to move me to an Italian school but I always used English not only to impress people and fool club bouncers when asking for foreigner discounts. English to me is a language that connects you with the world and this is one thing that Couchsurfing has in common!
I grew up in Naples but I've been living in Milan for about 3 years and I study in the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. My life has changed since I moved here from Naples in terms of new people I've met and of experiences as an abroad student! I firmly believe I should repay the kindness these folks gave me when I arrived in Milan not knowing anybody and that's what i try to do on a daily basis!

PHILOSOPHY
This field used to be something apart along wiith "Current Mission". I'm not a philosopher of any sort but when I want to sound wise and thoughtful I always start my sentences with "My father always tells me that.." Works every time XD
The answer you see below is from the previous me one year ago! Obviously much has changed in a year but I like to keep it as a memento so here you go!
Don't really have one! If I have to go all Socrates I'd say my personal philosophy Is to always do what makes me feel good with myself, taking into consideration but not always being bonded by the thought of the consequences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going to an American school in Naples really gave me actual knowledge of what is outside my country. While this may seem normal to many people it definitely is not in Italy. Even in these times our country still has limits and narrow-mindness and I don't like that.
Hosting or even just hanging out with people from all around the world is one of the most refreshing experiences I have had so far and I plan to keep it that way!

Interests

I'm the type of guy who likes to try anything just to get bored of it little after!! I guess what really has stuck to me over these years is my passion for dogs, gaming, hanging out with my friends, football(or soccer for the ignorants!!!) and movies! As I already said though, I like to keep an open mind just to make sure I don't judge anything without even trying it!
I grew up studying in an American School situated in a NATO base and I developed this love for everything that is internationally known! I'm a 9gag-browsing, meme-loving, beer pong-playing, tv series addicted type of guy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ever since I discovered programs such as Spotify or Soundcloud, I realised I prefer music based on the situation!! Sometimes it's Flume or Chet Faker, others it's Foo Fighters! Try me!

Favourite movies..too many! I love going to the cinema, sometimes even alone!
Over the years i have more and more drifted to tv series: You name one I've seen it/heard of it/solemnly refused to watch it because Matthew Mc Conaughey cannot drag True Detective all by himself..that show is boring, period.
Books...books..huh..Honestly i got nothing. Like don't get me wrong I do read just nothing you would know...uhm please don't skin me alive for asking this but..does manga count? I mean at least this way if you like them too it's something!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Managed to not cry watching the ending of Scrubs...oh who am I kidding..

On a less important note, I've also worked at the World Expo here in Milan for the USA Pavilion and this experience has been life changing both for the people I met and for the environment all around!

Teach, Learn, Share

I come from the southern part of Italy. Anyone who has a little bit of knowledge about Italy knows that we are the warmest, nicest, most cheerful and easy going people in the nation!! My hometown, Naples and my parents, taught me the values of respect and education but also to combine them with sympathy and fun! If you are the just-a-handshake-is-ok type of person then we won't go along well! I hope I can bring all this to my future hosts(Otherwise I'll bring pizza...need I say more?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

The moment I accept a request, to me that automatically means that my days are dedicated almost completely to providing you the same experience I would like if I were to be hosted!
I'd love to show you around Milan, practise my English, get to know you and your culture and most of all have you try our food which let's face it, is already worth you making the trip!
If I do not have time to give you this kind of attention, be it for work or university, then I'll most likely decline your request! This is Couchsurfing not Airbnb!
