★★PLEASE READ THIS★★
•I'm not here for making online-friends or having an endless chat.
•I can host only 1 person. Please don’t do “Let’s just ask. We have a mattress” thing.
•Template request messages are boring.
•I’m not gonna interview you. Please write enough about you, either on your profile or message.
•I’m not your travel Japan Google. Please don’t ask me how to get to Mt Fuji or best hotels in Tokyo.
•My house is not your free luggage storage.
•Thank you for reading this so far. I know you are thinking I'm a snob, but I'm not. Just sick of those people above. I believe you’re not one of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
----HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING----
Couchsurfing is an amazing community where provides a great way to travel and get to know people around the world. I joined this commuity when I was studying in Ireland and travelling around Europe. I had great experiences which makes who I am now, and I thought it's my turn to host travellers wishing some local experiences. I got my best friends through Couchsurfing and I'm grateful for that. So I prefer to become your friend with you, not just host and guest.
----COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE----
- Staying with one of nicest people I've ever met in Europe while I was travelling around Europe.
- Joining some Couchsurfing meet-ups in Dublin and got drunk/became fluent in English.
- Meeting travellers through "Hangout" and became my good friends.
- Hosting people at my apartment and showing them around Tokyo, having nice chats, dinner and beer.
I hope you would be a part of them!
Every time I go to the airports or stations to see my guest off, I feel like I shouldn’t have started Couchsurfing. It’s a kind of an open secret that I would be tearing up after good bye so don’t mention that please.
Interests
- Travel and being international -
I like meeting new people, learning different cultures and languages so travelling is the best way to achieve them. Especially, I like Ireland and The Philippines because I studied English in both countries and went to university to study Economics in Ireland and got drunk in pub many times, and I used to work with Filipino and I did internship in Manila.
- Tennis -
I've been playing tennis for almost 20 years.
- Coffee -
I used to work at Starbucks and a random cafe in Tokyo. I don't need reasons to have a cup of coffee.
- Beer -
I was in Ireland for 1 year so it definitely changed my life and made me work in an Irish pub in Tokyo after. And I prefer Smithwick's, Guinness is okay.
- History -
I studied a bit of world history when I was a high school student and it was very interesting for me. I love seeing historical buildings.
- beer
- coffee
- movies
- socializing
- tennis
- travel
Music, Movies, and Books
Well, my most favourite book is Facebook but I also read George Orwell and Harry Potter and I listen to Green Day, Queen, Travis, and Weezer but normally my phone chooses songs for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drink.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you Japanese culture and history, and teach you Japanese language if you want to study. (I'm not professional but I used to teach Japanese in Dublin and on Skype) I’m happy to tell you about my country or share my stories with politeness and hospitality. I’m interested in learning about different countries and their language (Especially Spanish)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My studio is a typical Japanese apartment for single person, which means it's small. One person can sleep on the sofa-bed but I can't host more than 1 person.
Also I can offer two bath towels. I know how disgusting it is to pack wet towels in your tiny luggage.
I usually try to take you the sights and dinner and drinks with my local friends and other travellers at the moment.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Guam, Hungary, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
