About Me

Hi, I've visited 47 countries in my life with a particular interest in former Soviet (I spent summer studying in Czech for political science). I want to listen to what other people say about my country now. It's time to listen:)

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Japan, and spent half my life in Toronto, Canada. I've read about 300 books after graduation, so probably can engage in wide range of intellectual discussions. My background is economics and tech.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I actually heard Couch Surfing from my sister. She used it while hitchhiking through Canada, and told me it gave her such a nice experience meeting new people. Now, I have to try it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet. But soon, I will have one. Keep it optimistic right:)

Interests

My hobby is definitely dancing. I have been doing popping (kind of street dance like robot dance) for 7 years. I also love SciFi movies. Yea, I am a student. I enjoy reading as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Inception, Bourne Identity, Cast Away, 50 First
Music: R&B, old school from 80s, recently started listening to piano instruments
Books: Terry Fox from high school reading, Rich Dad Poor Dad, a lot more Japanese books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have you guys heard of Street Piano? It is an international art project directed by a British artist, and what it does is put an piano randomly on streets so that any one from kids to elderly can come in and play them. Recently, they put pianos all around in Toronto. There were 41 pianos and each one of them was designed by different countries. I followed all of them and took the photos with all 41. There was a lot of drama into this mini project which I am proud of myself to do it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach dance. and perhaps a bit about economics though no one has ever asked me before haha.

I can share some Japanese culture as well if you are interested.
