Overview
About Me
I'm a 19 y.o. student of Linguistics from Russia.
I'm a very optimistic girl who tries to look at the world positively. I live my life with a motto: "Everything that happens - happens for the best". I try to maintain an active lifestyle. My dream is to travel all around the world and the first place to go to is Barcelona.
I did some volunteering, participating in Olympic Games activities, organising festivals for kids, went to the orphanages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I study cross-cultural communication and it really fascinates me to learn a lot about the lives of other people in different countries. But I like to get such information from real interaction, not from the books. That's what I came here for. I can share a lot about Russia and Russians as my people and my country are unique - just like all the other in the world.
I find staying at the hotels boring. The real trip is when you go deep into the country's culture. And couchsurfing is the best way to dive.
Interests
I love a lot of things.
Reading - which you will be able to see below.
Listening to all kinds of music.
Watching and doing sports. I especially love football. My favourite teams are my local team Zenit and the other one is Barcelona.
I love dancing. To me dancing is everything. It is a way to express myself, to get rid of bad mood, to feel better. I'm exactly that one person who spends half a morning dancing in front of a mirror and then runs around the house in an awful hurry :D
And I love learning languages. Language reflects the culture in many ways. So knowing the language is a great help for understanding foreigners.

Music, Movies, and Books

Honestly, I prefer books to movies though I like both.
I read a lot and I can't list all my favourite books, but to name a few:
"Gone with the wind"
"Pride and Prejudice"
"Flowers for Algernon"
"The mockingbird"
"Dandelion wine"
"War and peace"
"Crime and Punishment"
"The Godfather"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got selected for volunteering in Sochi Olympic Games 2014 - couldn't go because of uni :(
Teach, Learn, Share
Love all of it. I guess, if I could, I would be a student forever!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you a lot about Russian culture and history, our traditions. There's such a thing as 'mysterious Russian soul' - but we are not as difficult to understand as it seems :)
Also I can teach you some Russian if you want to, I love teaching my language
