ABOUT ME

I DON'T LIVE IN DUBLIN!!!
I have gotten many requests asking me to host someone in Dublin. I don't live in Dublin. I live in Galway in the west.

I realize now that I can't really fairly describe myself on a profile page. No one can do a great job of describing themselves without sounding a little bit silly. :)
But Just so that you don't think I'm some crazy woman with cats in her suitcase here is some of the things there are about me that are undeniable...

I grew up in Meath on a small organic farm from a family of 12 where I was home educated. I lived at home until I was 16 when I moved out to study drama and play music professionally. Now I live in Galway with my partner, Niamh and my Cat, Joosje. I studied music in Dublin after doing some working in kitchens and what not. I Lived in Amsterdam for a year working as a lunch cook, worked as a barman in my home town for 3 years, Played music all over the place!
I love meeting new people and have always been very personable. I love performing, trying new things, eating food and having a good old party!

After a long time only being a host I really want to do some actual surfing now so I'm gonna get on it and hopefully you can help me out :)

Back when I joined Couchsurfing it was all free and I don't want to have to pay to verify myself because I have a ton of references. If the references aren't good enough though here's my FB profile. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was just a host for people travelling. I like to help people out and hear other musicians. Couch surfing has introduced me to some strange and wonderful people and it has given me nothing but positive experiences. :)
I've had about 30 or so surfers at this stage I'm pretty sure.
My experience with hosting has been nothing but interesting and positive encounters with really cool talented people from Israel to Guatemala .... Okay, I never had Guatemalans... But hopefully soon!

Now that I've done a good few years of hosting(with a big gap the last few because my house in Amsterdam was way too small and covid messed stuff up) I really want to experience the surfing side of it. Curled up on some old sofa, sleeping outside with the dog: whatever adventure comes at me!
I managed to do a lot of that while traveling through europe summer of 2022

Interests

Music, drama, a little photography, writing, going down the hill in a shopping trolly. I like to cook but I could be better at it...

Music is definitely my biggest interest though.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of movies. Mostly comedies ranging from the marx brothers to a lot of Judd Apatow movies. I also enjoy the office. Family guy was great fun. I'm big into music documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most fantastic spectacle I ever saw was sunrise on Clare Island. I was there with two people I'd never met before after a night of heavy sessioning and plenty of music with a resonator in my hand. Couldn't resist, I just had to go for a swim...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give drum or guitar lessons and I studied drama so would love to experiment with that if anyone is interested. Would love to learn more languages especially German, French, Italian and Spanish. Also want to get back on ducth. Can't speak it at all now. I can also inform people of the amazing benefits of Homeschooling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook
I can play music and talk
I'm pretty good at fixing things if your house is in disrepair
I can garden too so will help with that
I will do most things if I'm asked!
