About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving for our recklessly booked round the world trip!
ABOUT ME
My name is Asia. I live with Michael, my husband. I like to think of us as hippies in our attitudes and life choices, with a little more sensibility. We're planning travel around the world in May, which is super exciting, and will be sort of like a late honeymoon. We are both laid back, non judgmental, love a good conversation. I am a little bit shy at first, but I do my best to get over it. We are both educated, and thoughtful, and happy to get into whatever.
PHILOSOPHY
We have a tv, but its not connected to anything other than a dvd player. I don't buy into most media culture, its mostly rubbish. I live life trying to do as much good as I can, but I take a very lighthearted approach to life. I don't like fakes or liars, but who does.. All my clothes come from op shops.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a few people in the past, all of which were really awesome experiences. We have been living in non suitable places for the past couple of years, and are currently living with my parents to save money for our trip, so unfortunately cannot be as involved as I would like.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a couple of really awesome people. I have yet to experience it from the surfers point of view, so looking forward to seeing what its like!
Interests
Good movies, music (my tastes span pretty much everything, particularly NZ music though, not just because I should.) Love a good game- risk, civ, magic, etc. Love a good discussion. Looking forward to travelling- we are going with a super low budget, so looking forward to testing myself. Love to read, drive, sit around thinking and generally chilling out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen the sunset from Angkor Wat, and seen a waterfall in Milford sound turn into a rainbow.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can discuss the merits of teaching philosophy to children, ancient history (little bits), how to change a tyre, how to cook a few good meals, I can help you with your English, or i can teach you a few words in Maori.
Michael can teach you a few jokes (he works as a tech in a comedy club), how to make a cornish pasty, and a couple of phrases in Cornish Gaelic.
We would really love to learn anything, but especially what its like to live in your part of the world!
