I'm an engineer/project manager living in Los Angeles, USA. Originally from Iran. My hobbies are listening to music (world music, rock, jazz, blues, EDM) and going to concerts. Also love to read, mostly New Yorker, Rolling Stones, LA Times and NY Times - no time for reading books). I love traveling and experiencing other cultures. Just returned from trip to Iceland/Netherland/Germany/Denmark and Italy . My other hobbies are skiing, hiking and canyon driving. I'm also a private pilot and fly planes once in a while for fun and when I get a chance I work on restoring my 1967 Volvo P1800S. I just started doing yoga a cpl months ago and am loving it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love dramas and intelligent movies and movies that you may have to watch more than once to figure out. My favorite movies are the ones by the Coen Brothers, Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino. Favorite TV movies are Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Shameless, Weeds, Narcos. Also, I watch good documentaries when I get a chance. PBS' Nova and Frontline are my faves.
My taste in music is pretty much all over the map. Favorite bands are too many to mention but include the National, Arcade Fire, Cold Play, Gorillaz, Jose Rodriguez, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Broken bells, Depeche Mode, Underworld, Crystal Method, Lord Huron, Mark Knopfler, Jethro Tull, Norah Jones, War on Drugs, Bob Moses, Eric Clapton, Talking Heads, John Coltrane, Jean-Luc Ponty, B.B. King, Ali Farka Toure, Bob Marley....
