About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Traveling with my fiancé Belisa, and our dog Lucy, from my hometown in Arlington, VA. We hope to find work and continue to travel.
I am choosing to keep my profile from 2009 when my friend Andrew Mackenzie and I rode bicycles from San Francisco, CA to Myrtle Beach, SC. This trip was one of my biggest accomplishments, so I want to document the progression of using this site in different chapters in my life.

ABOUT ME
Currently cycling. If you have a couch, I want to sleep on it. I was born and raised in Arlington County, love it out there with good people and good vibes. I moved out to CA with inspiration to see what Cali is all about. I talked to a buddy of mine who was cycle touring in Central America and told him to come out here and cycle with me in CA. We're heading south from San Francisco on March 6th. Ultra low budget seems to be working out on this trip, causing us to surf couches and meet cool people along the way. Couchsurfing is ultimately the best way to travel.
PHILOSOPHY
Some combination of eastern thought interests me the most spiritually, but I also like to struggle between sayings like "eat, drink, and be marry;" "to each his own;" and "do whatever you want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else." One rule I do live by is to never sacrifice my personal ideologies for fear of opposition, citation, or prosecution.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing has made my most magnificent moments in life possible. This community has provided for me a gateway to some of the most open-minded people I've ever met. I have been a Couchsurfing enthusiast for years now and have always raved about how much it has helped me in my travels. At this point in our travels, I would love to meet local people to share stories and gain insight to the best places to hike or camp in the neighboring areas. We are traveling with our dog Lucy, so extra planning is essential to our comfort and survival.

Every time couch surfing is not available, I find places to stay, asking people in the neighborhood. Any chance I get to promote couchsurfing and explain how much it helps me travel, it seems to spark more curiosity and can only raise awareness of a real global community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is a nice change of pace from sleeping in hotel lobbies and libraries. Everyone has been a great help in letting us rest up on our bike trip.
