Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore new situations and connect with others to help foster a more understanding world.
ABOUT ME
I'm easy going, spontaneous and flexible to new situations. I love seeing and experiencing new things (though I do always love to go back to my comfortable tired-and-true). I'm an extroverted person who really enjoys the company of people, though I do need a little solo re-coop time. I tend to connect better with smaller groups of people and as much as I love adventuring, I would love to sit around on a cozy couch, and enjoy a hot cup of hot cocoa.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a beautiful, complicated, evolving, unexplainable phenomenon... and I am here to discover, enjoy, and engage with the people that I can.
I believe there needs to be a global solidarity between humans in order to connect and share ideas to solve the problems of our imperfectly perfect world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a recent college graduate and am mostly a traveler now. But in the future, when I have a more permanent address, I would love to be a host. In the mean time, I can give any tips or advice on things to see or do in Austin.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the Summer of 2014, I relied on Couchsurfing for my 2 month solo jaunt through Western Europe. It allowed me to travel while connecting with many other people. It has been exciting to be involved in the couch surfing community and to share our stories and the beautiful world we live in :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste is so unbelievably eclectic and vast that this is quite difficult to answer...
Right now on my travels, I've been listening to a lot of Tune Yards, Beirut, and Alt-J.
I always love sticking to the classics as well like the Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Cat Stevens, etc.. but I'm always looking to hear new tunes.
Movies: Pans Labyrinth, The classic Forest Gump, Chicago the musical, documentaries... the list goes on...
Books: Curious Incident of the dog in the nighttime, The Alchemist, and I'm just starting Letters to a young Poet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Las Pozas by Sir Edward James in Xilitla Mexico. It's a nonsensical architectural structure/sculpture/castle in the middle of the forest. There are stairwells that lead to nowhere, waterfalls, and pillars and it is covered in moss. Really, out of this world. I felt like I was in a dream.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach salsa, and other forms of modern dance (My favorite is contact improv).
I want to learn some French and German to continue my language excursions. I also need to brush up and improve my knitting skills.
And I want to share stories, philosophies and experiences.
