Overview
About Me
I was raised in Portland but moved to Hawaii when I was 16. Since then I've lived in AZ, CA, Miami, and DC (currently).
I grew up traveling. Before the age of 18 I had been throughout Europe, parts of Africa, Central America, and India. The times I feel most like myself are when I'm on the road, outdoors (hiking, running, surfing, climbing, etc.), and working with kids. I have an amazing wife and two sons and our goal is to raise our boys through adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My greatest stories have always come through interacting with new and interesting people. Couch surfing strikes me as a way to facilitate inexpensive travel and creating great new stories.
Interests
My M.A. is in Religious Studies. I have always been fascinated with peoples' deepest held beliefs, how those are formed, and the implications those beliefs have for communities. While it might not seem intuitive to some, I have learned more about my own beliefs through studying and encountering diverse belief systems. So while I am personally religious, I enjoy interacting with people of different faiths and of no faith.
I'm drawn to people with vision and passion.
