ABOUT ME

I'm a Junior in college, currently taking a break from school to do some adventuring. I'm easy to get along with and always up for something spontaneous. I like to run, hike, bike, anything outdoors. I'm a multi-faceted person; I enjoy sitting down to read a book and I also enjoy going out to party until the sunrise. I believe experience is essential to growth therefore I rarely turn down an invitation; I will always sacrifice sleep or comfort for a good adventure. I love meeting new people and learning about their stories. The only people I tend not to like are those who are self-centered, we're all in this together and greed/ego do not make the world a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have come to realize that every place that I feel a strong connection to, I feel because of the people and not the place. I believe you could be in the best city and have the worst time or be in the worst city and have the best time, all because of who you're surrounded by. I'm borderline obsessed with meeting new people and Couchsurfing seems like my type of community. The people make the place.

Interests

Music!!! Almost any genre interests me. Books, snowboarding, hiking, camping, biking/running, anything that involves being outside or around nature. One of my very favorite things to do is to have intellectual conversation, regardless of the topic; I love exchanging ideas and engaging in friendly debate, especially when the person makes me see something I didn't see, giving me a new point of view.

Music: I like almost any genre, other than Heavy Metal/Screamo.
Random bands/artists that I like: RHCP, Alabama Shakes, Glass Animals, The Black Keys, The Beatles, Kendrick Lamar, City and Colour, Pink Floyd, J. Cole, Shlohmo, Erykah Badu, Mac Demarco, Nirvana, Drake, Flying Lotus, Curren$y, Bob Marley (& The Whalers), The Internet, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Local Natives, Tame Impala, I could go on and on.

Books: I just recently picked up reading again so I'm reluctant to say what my favorites are, right now I'm reading A Beautiful Question by Frank Wilczek, my last read was The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.

Movies: I appreciate anything with some creativity to it.

I swam with a few wild manatee in the Florida Keys after they took an interest to me in my kayak.
