About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wrote a book! It was great. So, now I'm writing two more. One about a rain god traveling in China, the other is Don Quijote, Demon Hunter! Teehee

ABOUT ME

I was raised in a conservative religion. I don't do things half-way, so I studied to become a missionary. I was ordained at 15. And then one day...there were no more answers. So I left and opened my mind to all possibilities. I have been happy nearly every day since.
My mom and grandparents are Massage Therapists/Healers, and that has fueled the other half of my life. I am still very passionate about it, and am always looking to deepen and expand. I am definitely in Asia to Learn. (Woops! Back in America. But that was such a great time, i'm leaving it as a Memento.) Just waiting on some direction from the Universe.
I love to hike, to camp. To wander strange cities and get lost for hours. I watch kids. I watch old people. I do a lot of watching.
I trespass on private property. I swim in mountain pools. I seize any opportunity to take my clothes off. I take the path with the most rocks. When I find a place with good energy, I sit down. I meditate. I take a piece of it with me. And if it wants, I leave a bit of myself.
I believe our goal in life, as Humanity, should be Improvement. Whether yours is personal or global, we all are walking upwards on the Path. As a species, and as individuals, we must evolve.

PHILOSOPHY

I follow the Dao. I look through the Maya. I practice the Golden Rule. I see the God within you. I honor the Sacred. I dance in the front row.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I listen. I help where I can.
I carry heavy things for people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done a lot of hosting. Sometimes people just pass through, and that's OK. You never know what the small bit you add might turn into. Some people become more involved, and change you. I like that better.
I've only surfed a few times, but they were all so incredibly kind. We cook dinner, we share stories, history, and laughs.
I attend a lot of the community events, and for me, that is what CS is about. A community that sheds all borders. I like hearing people speak candidly of their cultures and prejudices, examining them in the light of other viewpoints.
I have the most fun when I'm the only American...we're better in small doses. Just kidding. But not really.

Interests

Hiking. Rock climbing. CAVING! Mexico, SCUBA, Appalachian Trail, mountain biking. Live music. Religion, your beliefs, not the empty debates. Travel. The sacred places of the Earth. Books that shake my beliefs. Plants that expand them. Salsa, Merengue, Swing. Randomness. Butterflies that tell me which way to go. New people with fascinating stories to tell. Stories. Energy. Healing.
