Hi! Ciao! Salut! Hallo! Hola!

I’m a Swiss guy from a tiny town in the tiny Italian speaking canton of Ticino, married to a lovely ex-hobo girl from the US. We’re both travel addicts, always planning our next trip somewhere around the world. The wishlist gets longer every day.

I’m a very social person. I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family and everyone else who can tolerate - and hopefully even appreciate - my sense of humor. Maybe sharing a long big dinner, or even just a few drinks (a very hoppy IPA, please).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I want to remember the connections I’ve made with people, and not just the places I’ve seen. Couchsurfing seems one of the best ways to do that.

Interests

I’m crazy about cats and motorcycles, I’d love to have a house full of both of these things. One day, eventually.

I love being active and fit, and doing outdoor activities: motorcycle trips, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, gym, yoga, slack line, ...

I’m the kind of person who loves adrenaline and adventure sports. I’ve tried bungee jumping and skydiving (both successfully). I’m always looking for new things to try, when I’m home or even while I’m traveling - try me!

I also started practicing acroyoga a couple of years ago, and now my wife and I teach a beginner class in Lugano.

And, of course, I’m a travel addict. A few years ago I spent nine months traveling the world, and I’m always keeping an eye out for other long term travel adventures :)

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music goes, I don’t stick to one genre. I could listen to some indie or folk music when I’m chilling at home, exercise with rock or metal, sing (badly) the Queen or Katy Perry at the top of my lungs while driving, cook with a salsa playlist in the background.

I usually prefer intense movies, whether on a visual and/or emotional level, and I love some good funny comedy or stand-up show.

I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue!
