ABOUT ME

I am living and working in Sosua, Dominican Republic. Right now myself and a partner are starting a non-profit Microfinance Institution. I have had many different jobs and experiences and all have made me a strong and curious person. Through traveling abroad I hope to enhance my compassion, understanding, and knowledge of all cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to use all the gifts I am given and go beyond my fated potential to reach a place of pure bliss in giving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this time I am unable to support any couchsurfers but will be able to soon! I will be traveling around the Dominican trying to learn Spanish and will be looking for Couchsurfers in this area.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I am reading Everything is Illuminated. Recently finished Banker to the Poor, Bonk, The Assult on Reason by Al Gore, Jane Eyre, The Alchemist, Eleven Minutes, Under the Tuscan Sun, and a couple of random novels I cannot remember. Movies... loved the last Batman, but haven't seen anything in a while since being in Italy. Music: love soul and blues, alternative, big hair bands, opera, classic rock, and random... very open to anything good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to hold my grandfather's hand as he died. It was a very powerfull and enriching moment for me. I love it when someone in terrible pain gets on my massage table and I help to releive the pain.
