About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to connect all the most important dots on the path of my life

ABOUT ME

About two years ago, during the sociology course on my university, professor asked us to write down on the sheet of paper the response to the simple question- "who are you?". The goal of this exercise was to use only one-word expressions, such as musician, student, teacher, human etc. That was the first time, when I realized, how hard it is to describe myself, despite the permission to use only simple expressions. PHILOSOPHY

“And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.(…) Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.(…) Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. (…) Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition(…)Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”- these quotes come from one of Steve’s Jobs (Apple Computer CEO) speeches. They had a great impact on my way of thinking about world that surrounds us.

“If you want to bite gold, you better drink chlorine… eight hours a day!”- Mike Phelps

“Just shut up and work!”- JMC, one of my beloved teachers

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
I read a lot, so it's hard for me to enumerate all books that I liked, instead I’ll list my favorites authors: J.R.R Tolkien, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Stanislaw Lem, Andrzej Sapkowski, Joe Haldeman, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Carl Sagan, Joseph Heller, Philip Kotler

Music:
Same here, I’ll enumerate my favorite bands: Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Coma, Charles Mingus, Daft Punk, Disturbed, Enter Shikari, Grand Funk Railroad, Jamiroquai, Kings of Leon, Metallica, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Nazareth, Parov Stelar, Rage Against the Machine, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart… as you can see, there’s a lot of them ;p

Movies:
Favorites: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars Saga, Indiana Jones Saga, Blade Runner, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, Fight Club, The Dark Night, Inglorious Bastards.

Video Games:
Yeah, a lot of people still treat them as an entertainment for childrens, but for me it’s the most interactive and complex medium of art. My favorite games/game series: The Legend of Zelda, Mario Universe, Uncharted, Ace Attorney Series, God of War Trilogy, Heavy Rain, Metroid, LittleBigPlanet, 999, Gran Turismo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Loss of 20 kilograms in few months

- I’ve run almost 900 kilometers in my life and this number is still growing ^^

- Arriving to Liege (Belgium) without a place to live for next six months to fulfill my student exchange program, ending up in great apartment and spending the most amazing time of my life yet

- Moving out from my parent's house relatively early, despite the fact of studying and living with them in the same city
