ABOUT ME
I'm a lover of fun and connoisseur of new experiences. For me, traveling and meeting new people are the most enriching experiences in life.
I'm an academic, and a wanderer; a socialist, and a queer; a small town boy, and a global citizen.
PHILOSOPHY
Living in the moment, fully and honestly--this is true happiness.
I'll try anything (at least three times)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I first heard about Couchsurfing, it was one of those 'Ah-ha' moments--It's absolutely brilliant. I've been hopping around for the last couple years living in communal living spaces. Thus, I haven't had a good opportunity to host lately.
In September, I quit my job in San Francisco, I packed up all my things and sold what didn't fit. I'm traveling for the next year or two to learn about different cultures, and ways of living. For me, the exchange of past experiences, and creating new ones, is what Couchsurfing is all about.
Eventually, I'll settle down again and I'll open up the most comfy couch you've ever seen. Someday you'll visit me, and I'll cook you too much food, and it will be wonderful :)

New Experiences--show me!
Our parents told us not to play with our food, but when given the opportunity, I can happily spend an entire day playing in the kitchen. I love cooking, I love eating, I love learning how to cook new things, and I love just simply playing :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm sure you'll find something in the archives :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I will gladly entertain conversations about Evolutionary Biology, Sexual Health and HIV, Gay Culture, and the Natural World. I've spent most of my time over the last 5 years studying, learning, and experiencing these topics.
I'm always curious to learn about new foods, local beer, and your culture (whatever it is). At the moment I'm particularly intrigued by eastern philosophies/religions.
The exchange of Philosophies and Worldviews (over a beer, or not) is the best gift to share.
