My name is Matan and I live in a Moshav near Tel aviv.
One of the greatest passions in my life so far is to travel, explore and meet new places and people, that is because it makes me feel a part of something much bigger than myself - I love the opportunity to communicate and create new bonds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about Couchsurfing through a friend and thought it was a nice idea. Not a long time ago I was hosted by a family in the northern part of Israel, they told me more about Couchsurfing and Lately I was hosted by many people while traveling and realized that this is the greatest way of getting to know a destination - and I really believe that by meeting new people you learn alot about their culture, their way of life.

Interests

Music has always been a great part of my life, that's something I can't go on without - I'm always up to jamming along with friends and acquaintances : )
I also like to build things out of whatever I can find, turn it into something usefull.
Computers are a common occupation for me, I'm used to working with one.
As I mentioned, I love traveling and especially hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books

World music, Jazz, Swing , Progressive rock and metal, Tribal music, and just about everything that has a good rhythm.
Also, musical notes are more appealing to me than lyrics, it's easier for me to relate to the instrumental part of the music : )

I like Drama and Comedy - the work of artists like Roberto Benigni, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed mount Olympus in Greece, all the way to the top, and more importantly - meet amazing people on the way.
