About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Can i kick it?!

ABOUT ME

I get a real kick out having less responsibilities and a more simple lifestyle.

PHILOSOPHY

I DO WHATEVER I WANT! AND ENJOY THE HELL OUT OF IT!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf a bit, I host a bit, and I give people rides sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back when I lived in Venice Beach my couch saw it's fair share of surfers. I've spent wonderful afternoons with perfect strangers and walked away friends with an honest connection. I've slept in fairly random places.

Interests

Experiencing spontaneous, awesome and bizarre encounters. Playing music. Dancing. Riding bikes. Hiking and camping. Beer. Swinging on the rings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Funk, Dance Music, Soul, Hip Hop, Psychedelic, Punk, Jazz, Blues, Folk, etc.
I play drums, guitar, and trombone. I mostly enjoy music that has some funky, gritty, raucous, meditative, bizarre, intellectual, or just downright soulful aspect to it.

"Everything there was to know about life was in The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky" -Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a Combine Demolition Derby. If you don't know what a combine is (I didn't), just imagine a giant tractor that could probably move your whole house into your neighbor's yard... then imagine 4 of them smashing into each other for 15 minutes until their engines caught fire or blew out. It was at a small county fair in rural Tennessee, and the locals really weren't even that interested.

Teach, Learn, Share

I write code. I know a whole lotta math... and a little patience. But I'm definitely still learning.

I used to teach math. Sometimes the kids would run all over me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music! While I don't usually travel with instruments, I can play a wide variety of them.

Countries I’ve Visited
