ABOUT ME

I live in Milano, my hometown in a two-room apartment near the city center. I've been working in publishing for ten years, now I work as Editor-in-chief in a medium-sized publishing house.

I love reading (pretty obvious...), animals, music, traveling, cooking (and eating).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some kind of couchsurfing experiences in the past (being hosted through word of mouth. Unfortunately , I moved in a smaller (but central) apartment in 2009, so for me is easier to show people around.
I did a lot of couch surfing in Japan between 2007-2010, meeting a lot of wonderful people.

Interests

Apart from the usual music/movies/books stuff. I'm a good cook and sometime i take cooking courses (with my foodie buddy).
Me and my family always had some animals and now, since or last dog died of old age, we are planning to take in a couple of stray cats and another dog.
Other shameful stuff I'm into: comics, videogames, recipes, book feticism.

I'm not a great sportman, but I plan to keep on with Yoga. Recently a friend of mine introduced me to rafting. I was a little dubious at the beginning, but I enjoyed it a lot and probably I will try it again.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: it dependso on the month/day/mood. Usually I lean more toward Indie rock, blues and punk-ska.
This was an old "right now" list but seems to be still actual: Two Gallants, Gogol Bordello, Johnny Cash, Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Son House, Hold Steady, Decemberists, Dropkick Murphys, Ute Lemper, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Raconteurs.

MOVIES: Yes! One of my passions. I try to see at lest one movie each week (in theatre or on DVD). I love dramas and author's movies, but I'm still a sucker for any Sci-fi and action movie...

BOOKS: It's my work and that means that sometimes I can't stand reading anymore (for 2-3 days). Usually I read a lot, mainly Italian and English fiction and historical essays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not much that I remember at the moment. Maybe when I was in Berlin just the day before the wall went down, and got the chance to go through the Checkpoint Charlie ordeal for the last time.
