Overview
About Me
Hi! At heart, I am a small town girl who seems to forget that small town girls usually stay in their small town. I grew up in rural Tennessee but have always felt the need to get away. I moved to Florida for college and while in college I spent a summer in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, and another in Colorado Springs, CO. Upon graduation college, I moved to Equatorial Guinea, West Africa until I was laid off. I took my hobby full time and love it.
I love traveling to new places and meeting new people. I am interested in meeting locals and getting off the tourist trails in most countries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was looking for a way to meet more locals and experience more of the culture of the places I am visiting. Couch surfacing seems like a great way to meet people and learn all those hidden secrets of the world that don't make the guide books.
Interests
I love hiking, photography, backpacking, and basically anything that has to do with the outdoors. While I do love the outdoors, I love learning about local history and seeing the world through another culture's eyes.

A huge Harry Potter fan. Recently got into Game of Thrones (still need to read the book)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love road trips. I have done solo road trips in the UAE, Iceland and four cross-country US road trips. My favorite road trip was in Iceland. I did a two and a half week trip abound the 800 km ring road in the middle of winter.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hiking, sense of adventure, and some amazing experiences from some unusual places.
