Love sailing, 2018 trip with family had loads of surprises in one week. I was the unofficial second hand and we managed correct the mistakes we have made and keep the boat and ourselves safe. Some of the things that happened: secondary anchor got stuck under a rock, almost pulled an underwater cable with the anchor, got stuck on sand, got the anchoring right on a river (a boat was sliding past us slowly, it was eventually saved by the owners), sneaked into an overpriced national park.
Most of these could have been easily avoided but at least we had an exciting week.
