Originally from Slovenia, but have been living in the northern Europe for a few years now and liking it very much! Currently working as a researcher in forest sciences at a Swedish university.
My focus is on the large carnivores of Europe; brown bear, wolf, lynx. If you are interested about the last great beasts that roam our forests be sure to ask me, but be warned, I can get pretty excited.
I also like to travel, explore and discover all the wonderful places on Earth. My hobbies include wildlife photography (some of my work can be found on instagram.com/matejdom), bird watching, swimming, reading and browsing the internet for fun ideas. I'm a non-smoker, pet-free and quite flexible with housing situation.

I believe in the message this project/site brings. Connecting people around the world, sharing the knowledge, ideas, meeting new people, discovering the real vibe of the city/country and not some pre-engineered tourist version.
As I biologist I think us humans need to behave more like a single species if we are to survive the challenges to come. This site does it's part by connecting us, now it's on us to get connected!

I've been blessed with a wide taste in music. This means I'll enjoy Stir it up by Bob Marley just as much as Má Vlast Vltava by Bedřich Smetana.
I read lots of fantasy as a kid (think Philip Pullman, Naomi Novik, Christopher Paolini, Terry Pratchet, J.K. Rowling etc.), but now I'm more into classics such as Gabriel García Márquez, Mikhail Bulgakov, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell and the likes.
Any movie by Studio Ghibli (specially one of Miyazaki's) would grab my attention as well as the never ending humor of Monty Python series.
