Hi, I’m Mutaz, but you can call me Mat or Mateldo—whichever is easier for you!

I’m a 35-year-old medical doctor specializing in adult emergency and trauma, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I speak Arabic, Spanish, and English, and I’m passionate about meeting people from all over the world.

Traveling is a huge part of my life—I’ve visited 69 countries so far, and I have no plans to stop anytime soon. I’m energetic, always smiling, and love deep conversations. If you enjoy talking (a lot), we’ll definitely get along!

Saudi Arabian hospitality is something I deeply value, and I believe in the spirit of generosity and cultural exchange. I choose to host guests who embrace this mindset and see hospitality as a two-way experience.

Important Note: While I’ve decided to pause hosting Western Europeans due to a general lack of reciprocity towards travelers from the Middle East, I happily make exceptions for those who have hosted at least three guests from different nationalities. For me, Couchsurfing is about mutual exchange, not just free accommodation.
