I’m grateful to call many places home. I was born and raised in Ecuador, but I moved to Colombia followed by the United States (Washington DC) during my teenage years.

I like to connect with people of all backgrounds, explore new places, and document my travels through photography and film.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CouchSurfing a few years ago but I forgot this community existed until I planned my first trip to Europe (this 2024) and a friend reminded me of it.

I like to participate in cultural exchange, so I like of the idea of traveling and being introduced to new places by a local while making friends around the world. I find everyone I meet to be inspiring in many ways.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie/alternative music, profound lyrics, modern music that incorporates classical elements, etc… but I find joy in all kinds of music.

As a film director, I’m inspired by modern independent cinema as well as classic Hollywood films, Italian Neo-Realism, French New-wave, and Latin American Cine-Urbano. Coming of age, dramas, thrillers, action and horror films.

I read a lot of screenplays for work, but I gravitate towards photography books and biographies.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my art, exchange ideas, teach others about my craft with a camera and collaborate on spontaneous projects. I like taking portraits of the people I meet and helping out in any type of media project or business need. Like designing logos, taking business photos, social media content, etc.

I’m also happy to teach some Spanish and treat my hosts/friends to an Ecuadorian or Colombia meal — I might just need help finding the ingredients.

I’m a respectful, responsible and kind-hearted traveler with an enthusiastic attitude towards travel, culture and art.

I like the idea of getting to know my hosts and find, or create, an experience they haven’t experienced themselves, so we all feel like we learned something new from the experience.
