My name os Mateus (mateusabm on ig), borned in Porto Nacional and raised in Palmas, Tocantins, Brazil. Lived in São Paulo 10 years where i attended Law School for 5 years.

However, i wasn't really happy during my graduation and my doing my job, so I decided to be around things that fascinate me, such as traveling, food, and nature. So i made the movement of quitting my job, moving to Italy and right now i'm in the middle of the recognition of my italian citizenship and hope to find job as a cook as soon as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people and the culture of each region. Being able to know places, foods and forms of expression of a community is something that i truly love, and unfortunately this type of knowledge is not very accessible when we book hotels and follow tourist guides, that often are focused on the commercial side of traveling. With that said, I do believe that staying in local's people

Therefore, I believe that staying in the house of people who live in the place, and appreciate the cultural exchange provided by tools as Couchsurfing, is the best way to receive the best indications and references of a city or region.

Also, as I'm doing my italian citizenship recognition, I'm not working for now, so i really have to cut the costs of any intended travel haha.
