Hi, my name is Mateusz and I'm from Poland.
I'm an avid foreign language learner, I guess I can even call myself a polyglot since I speak polish, english, german, spanish, italian and french. I discovered I like learning languages by accident and I've been enjoying this journey of exploring new cultures ever since. For me a language is like a key that opens a door that has previously been locked and behind this door there's an unknown world full of amazing stuff waiting to be explored and learned.

I also play the guitar and the piano, though I've never been a part of a band or anything.

I like doing sports. My favourite one is definitely football, I enjoy playing it, watching it, following the news about it. Others sports I do are squash, badminton and running.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've travelled abroad very little. I'd like to start doing it more and use the languages I learned "in the wild" :D. I thought this place can be good to try, especially because I heard good things about it.

I listen to a lot of different genres, always trying to find new songs to enjoy. I like exploring the music from various countries, like mexican folk, ranchera, french gypsy jazz, italo disco, german indie and many more.
As a guitarist I listen also to rock, blues and some metal.
From all the most common genres I've never been a fan of rap.
