Kia ora, Hello :) my name is Matewai

I'm Māori (Indigenous to New Zealand) , I speak Te Reo Māori- Māori language, and my Indigeneity and Culture are very important to me:)

I enjoy creating art:) , mostly i paint character drawings, and magical whimsical women:)

I am passionate about looking after the Planet and spending time connecting with Nature! Being by the ocean, sailing, swimming, exploring forests :)

Music is my love! In particular I love to sing! :) I play ukulele, am learning guitar, and i want to learn kalimba and perhaps harp in the future!

Spirituality is a massive part of me:) I am interested in learning more about holistic or spiritual ways of healing, in particular energy work, and sound healing:) .

I'm studying Psychology:) My main interests in Psychology are the fields of Developmental Psychology, and supporting people in emotional healing.

My biggest passion of all is nurturing children, and I dream of raising beautiful humans, and creating an alternative school run based on Unschooling:)

I like to watch-
Studio Ghibli Movies are my absolute favourite:) - Howls Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away: but all of Hayao Miyazaki's creations are magical!

I also love Anime; One Piece, My Hero Academia, Hunter X Hunter are some of my favourites.
Movies- I like mind blowing or clever and artistic movies:) I love documentaries!

Books- I love spiritual books, myths and legends, self development, manga, haha all sorts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on amazing adventures on the ocean in a traditional Waka Hourua :) called Hinemoana Waka. (Traditional Maori/Pacific Voyaging) - so amazing connecting to our Polynesian Ancestors who navigated across the ocean thousands of years ago :)
