ABOUT ME

early-thirties couple from Colombia and the US, been together 9 years (wow!), married, no kids.

just quit our jobs at CNN and CDC to travel, because...why not?

started in Japan in March 2013, spent two months there and then a month in Indonesia, and then...(to be continued)

we like FOOOOODDDD!!! and cooking and trekking and beaches and diving and Bossa Nova and nuevo tango and BLUES! we dig reading high-minded literature and psychology, but also watching stupid funny movies. we like champagne with kings and beers with the people, fine dining and dirty markets.

Lola loves spending an hour trying to capture a single good image on her camera and Matt will spend days upon days trying to write a good story.

we love travel, but hate tourists (even accepting that we are tourists). we think there's nothing quite like having a connection with locals, finding that hole-in-the-wall restaurant, watching a mother and daughter interact in a different country and language, spending a day at a picnic or the beach with a group of friends.

Awesome! we've hosted, we've surfed, we've been to events. we've met amazing people, and best of all, we've made a few lifelong friends (one even went to our wedding in Colombia!)
