About Me
Hey there!
READ ME (updated October 2024)
Before you read our profile, mind this: we might be open to hosting exclusively at weekends, it all depends on the dates and on the deal with Lari and Liana. Math is more open to guests because he's the couchsurfer. As we don't have an extra room anymore, you'd be staying in Math's room on a flattable mattress, so accepting guests depends on his physical and emotional availability as he's the one responsible for your pleasant stay.
PROFILE
We're Matheus, Liana and Larissa, three thick-as-thieves friends who share a home in Rio de Janeiro. With us, you'll find an opportunity to meet new people (we have lots of friends), rich conversations, plenty of fun and, of course, much love.
We're all in our 30's, Lari and Math are historians and teachers, Liana is a biologist and researcher. We love talking to people who are interested and interesting, and with the right people we can do that endlessly. We often go out with friends to beaches, parks, bars, shows and clubs - we enjoy life! We're kind, sweet, shrewd, friendly, and gregarious.
Lari teaches history and works as a tour guide for students in Rio. She loves reading, writing, studying, cooking, playing videogame, going to samba shows, and drinking beer.
Liana researches the distribution of seeds by birds in the forest. As all of us, she loves Rio, samba, outdoor activities, going to the beach and chatting. She's definitely the one of us with whom you should talk about cinema. Lately she's discovered the fun life of clubbing in Rio with Matheus.
Math teaches English online, so he's available to help guests once he's often home. He loves the same things as Lari and Liana, but he's the techno/electronic side of the house who plays samba on Wed at a samba school, and goes clubbing at the weekend. This profile is originally his, and he's traveled to and lived in the countries shown on this profile.

Music, Movies, and Books
We love literature and Marxism, everything related to that is of our taste. Therefore, we also like movies and series that tackle social issues, but we also love bad reality shows and not so funny hackneyed comedies. As for music, Lari and Liana are more the Brazil side of things, Matheus plays samba on Wed, goes techno/electronic clubbing at weekends, and studies global music for hobby, so he'll love to listen to the recommendations you might have of both the greatest and the weirdest stuff you know.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We together have built a beautiful family of the most lovely and loyal friends we could have ever found. Staying with us is a door to this world.
Lari is a great researcher and you'd be amazed by the things she knows regarding history and literature. She's studying to be a tour guide to take tourists as you on amazing tours in the city.
Liana is the calm side of our chaos. She's lived for years in the Amazon forest doing her research, and also spent time studying birds in the south pole.
Math has traveled a lot, speaks 5 languages fluently and builds a language school that fights against the exploitation of workforce by schools and company owners. He might change all this, become a DJ and open a bar in Rio.
Teach, Learn, Share
We know Rio and Brazil well, so we'll help you get around easily. We are three cultured people, so we always have something to teach and a lot to learn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Everything we have and know!
We leave places better than when we found them upon arrival.
We can help with groceries and housework, and we try to leave hosts everything we can share.
We're very organised and clean, and we hate to be nuisances to others.
Smiles, laughs, and long conversations. =)
