My name is Mathew. I'm a Lead Maintenance Engineer at Lincoln K-8 Choice School (Rochester Public Schools), and volunteer in Disaster Services for the American Red Cross. I also volunteer for Family Service Rochester and Quarry Hill Nature Center - but not as often as I do with the Red Cross. In my spare time I generally play video games or read books - if it's nice out I'll either go hiking, bicycling, fishing, or kayaking.

I like just about any kind of music (except country is my least favorite).

If I watch a movie it's usually a documentary or science fiction film.

I love to read books - mostly science, philosophy, and history books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was younger, I attended Taekwondo classes and reached the rank of Recommended Belt - that's just one rank below black belt. Sadly, I left Park Institute of Taekwondo to be able to go to college.

I like to think I'm a rather knowledgeable person. With my background in building utilities (plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, hvac, and boiler operation) and deep interest in the sciences, feel free to ask whatever you wish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you fancy deep conversations, we can definitely have discussions on philosophy, science, and all that. Otherwise, some magic the gathering might be considered. Discussions of travel, or what have you.
