About Me

OK so I haven't been on CS in almost a year (right around the time of my last trip actually!)
Last year I traveled to Mexico and Cuba, a few years before I was in Amsterdam, Rwanda and Thailand for about 3 months(Early April 2014). I recently moved to a new condo in Gastown with a great view of science world! I am self employed and work in the Film industry so sometimes my couch availability isn't great, but I'm trying to host more this summer, so I have couches to sleep on when I travel this winter!

ABOUT ME

What can I say about me... I LOVE to travel, just like all of you wonderful people on this site :D
I'm self employed so I don't get to travel as often now, though I am Hoping to have a few months to explore this winter.
I am spontaneous, creative, caring and compassionate. I am passionate about food and absolutely love to cook. I am just as at home in a party full of strangers in a big city, as I am sitting around a cozy fire with a few new friends getting to know one another.
I love meeting new people and getting to know them, especially people from different cultures.
I work fairly long hours on the days that I am working, but on my days off I love to go out, enjoy the city, enjoy the food and the beaches and take road trips to some of my favourite hidden spots around Vancouver and beyond. I grew up here so I know a lot of really cool spots that you won't find on tourist sites.

PHILOSOPHY

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! We all have our own beliefs, whether they be spiritual or political or simply personal... I know that I won't always see eye to eye with others, and I love that a diversity like that can exist in the world. I respect all beliefs and views in the world, as long as they are not harmful to others or infringing upon personal freedoms :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled through Scotland, Ireland and Sweden and stayed with some wonderful people a few years ago. I had nothing but the best of experiences and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Last year I got the chance to stay with two Couchsurfers in Amsterdam and Bangkok as part of a big trip I was on. I haven't been able to host anyone since I joined (I actually joined in 2008 but can't access my old account) I'd love to host some travelers this summer though

I traveled to Rwanda for 5 weeks and volunteered at a preschool in a small village in the North at the foot of the Virunga's. Changed my life

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked in logistics and own my own business. I'm fairly good at planning trips and putting things together. I'm a great problem solver and I like to look at most obstacles as opportunities. I like to think I am fairly good at finding solutions to tricky situations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A vast knowledge of the place where I live. I've lived all over the province and carry a wealth of knowledge on different things to do that you won't find on travel sites or in lonely planet!

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Rwanda, Scotland, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
