Hi! I'm Mathias, I live in a small town in the far north of Canada. I also lived in Germany for 2 years, but then I moved back home. I've worked as a lifeguard at my city pool, as a dockhand for Alkan Air, and I've run my own stand at a local market. I did french immersion in high school so I can hold up a conversation (please forgive my Québec accent if thats something that bothers you). I went to an english school in Germany so I only know a bit of german (I know, big missed opportunity) but I was 12 and moving to a different country was scary enough for me at the time. Right now however, I'm a lot less scared of new things, and more excited to experience the world!

I'm on here because I read it was a good way to travel for cheap. I need to save as much of my money as possible for next year so I can hopefully pay for university without taking on debt.

I started my own business selling my homemade hard candy at a local market. I don't do it anymore though, it was a lot of work and while I did make some money, it wasn't enough for it to be worth my time.
