Hiya! I'm Mathias, 29 years young and studying Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. In general I'm a very excited and open-minded person with lots of different hobbies and the impulse to travel and try out new things. My hobbies are playing lacrosse, football and doing different sports like squash occasionally or just go for a walk or run, I really love to ride my enduro bike, I like to go to pubs with friends as well as clubbing and just chillaxing in the park, at the lake or wherever. I started using couch-surfing during my year abroad in England and made awesome experiences. I don't like to travel on my own, but through couch surfing you can meet easily new people and become friends quickly, that is just tremendous.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I like to travel, but not on my own. Sometimes it's just difficult to find the right dates with friends, so using couch surfing I can meet people easily and hopefully can spend some time together. I'm not looking for a free room to stay. In the future I wanna travel within Europe on my own and meet local people to spend some time together. Since I'm back in Germany after my year in England I offer my room to couchsurfers and had so far a marvelous time with people visiting Berlin and staying with me.

兴趣

I have loads of interests and they are becoming more and more with the time. A few I have already mentioned, like sports, my motorbike, going to pubs and hiking. I'm a very active person with the eager for new things. I like sociable and humorous people around me. Furthermore I'm interested in science, cultures and music.

I don't really have a favourite music style, I like reggae, hip hop, techno, smooth rock, swing and any kind of music you can dance to. My favourite films are The lion king, the notebook, The Big Lebowski and bad boys :-) And favourite books I don't really have, I'm reading occasionally thriller-ish books :-)

Sharing is caring :-) A nice phrase I picked up in the UK. People were mentioning this phrase because me and my flatmate were all the time offering our stuff to others and people shared soon with us as well :-) I like the idea of sharing because it's just so sociable and quite often you produce less waste and do something good for the environment :-) As well I like to share my experience and listening to all the crazy and exciting stories of others :-) You never stop learning and broadening your horizon :-)

I'm a very relaxed person without high requirements. I like to spend time with others and talk, make jokes, laugh and just have a good and comfortable time. I have traveled a bit in the world, worked at different places, lived in different cities and love to try out new things and meet new people. If I can stay with somebody it's naturally for me to behave decent, clean and tidy up stuff I used and share drinks and food. If possible I really appreciate when my hosts spend time with me to explore the city or area around :-) My hosts are more than welcome to visit me in Berlin at any time.
