My name is Mathias Rassing, I'm a 20 year old guy from Copenhagen, Denmark - who currently lives in Kirksville, Missouri for a year, where I study Business Administration at Truman State University. I was born and raised in Copenhagen, but lived in Clayton, North Carolina from 2007-2009, and as mentioned, I'm currently living in Missouri, USA. I am outgoing, i love meeting new people and especially people from around the world, that has a different background than me. I finished Danish highschool (Gymnasium) in the summer of 2015. Afterwards, I worked till march 2016 to save money for travelling. From march 2016- july 2016 I travelled with two friends through Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, Thailand) we had a blast and met so many different people. I've always loved travelling, and seeing new places. I am very interested in soccer and basketball, and I am always up for a beer or coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all I love meeting new people, and even though I haven't couchsurfed before, I know how much bigger of an experience you get if you live with locals, compared to staying at a hotel and seeing all the tourist attractions. I love talking to people from other parts of the world, other perspectives enriches you and I find that awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to and watch a lot of different movies and music, it's hard to point of my favorites, it depends on the mood. I listen to everything from Guns n' Roses, to Nirvana, to Outkast and modern Hip Hop and rap. My all time favorite movies are Pulp Fiction and Shawshank Redemption. The majority of books i've read are danish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living In Europe, a danish way of viewing the world (which I'm by the way not the biggest fan of most of the time) and experiences travelling. I am just an outgoing and funny (in my head..) person, I'm sure we'll have a blast.
