About Me
Hey lovely people out there!
We are Saffi and Mathias Vortex, a hungarian couple in Finland. We travelled around Europe and we settled down in Finland, in one of the the hidden pearls of the world. You might would not think from Finland how great is it first, but we find it deeply beautiful, respectful, filled with kind and honest people. If you come and visit us we can share how is Finland through our glass if you are interested, or what have we find nice and worth to visit nearby.
We like to cook and have deep conversations about life, filosophy, humanity during a nice lunch. And listen to your story. We have friends from lot of countries, and we always like to make new ones.
We have hobbies like wood and leather work, martial arts, painting, reading, make tattoos and sauna hats. General we can say that we try to create useful tools and belongings what we can love and care about and never the least eco friendly. We always like to learn new things, find smart solutions and train our mind, soul and body. Our greatest hobby is to observe and think wisely and freely about the great problems of our society and individual humans, as well as to try to find ways of solutions in our small life to cause the least harm and find balance.
We are accepting guests happily in our home, we have a nice big (and openable) couch to share, some food what we have and time. If you feel, contact us and let's change messages and see if we match 🙂
We are early birds, going to bed around half past 8, and waking up at 6. So be mindful about your arrival please.
Love,
Saffi & Mathias
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because of two reasons what is actually one: get to know the world more.
We would like to host people and listen their story. We are highly accepting and interested about cultural differences, personal life stories, and thoughts what you bring with yourselves. As well it feels nice to share what we have.
On the other hand we like to travel around and when we do so it is always nicer and feels more real if we visit locals than if to stay in hotels. We think it is a great way to observe the land where we go and meet with real people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like personal conversations about this.
But just a quick dip:
The doors, Heilung, films of Ingmar Bergman, Lao Tzu, and Hermes Trismegistos.
And lot more but even if I would list them all would not say too much. But a live conversation, there it is possible to share the depth of what we read or listen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent less then a 1000 euro in 1,5 year.
Teach, Learn, Share
We do not dare to say we would teach anything yet. We are practicing mindfullness, leather and woodwork, mandala and silk painting, wool felting, kombutcha and cloth making and smaller DIY projects.
We like to learn about all kind of handcraft, languages, history, about the brain and thinking itself.
And we happily share knowledge what we have of things what we do and our time.
We can teach you about massage technique and movement healing.
