About Me

ABOUT ME

My goal is to learn, meet incredible people from everywhere, discover cultures from all over the world and share mine.
I am a Data Scientist in Paris (artificial intelligence, robots, self driving cars, that kind of stuff) at a public research laboratory named Lip6.
Otherwise, i'm a simple guy who has always lived in Paris but travelled a lot.
In my spare time in Paris i'm used to discuss at some traditional coffee shops :
philosophy, litterature, music, art, science, politics, whatever...
I also take time to go to concerts of many styles and to go to some of the many exhibitions regularly organised in Paris.
I am always searching some new experiences to have, it's one of the things i like the most : like having a good party where at the end you think you have lived a true journey. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I organized a huge party at the forbidden parisian catacumbs with my friends.
You need some torches, a good local who has a great sense of direction and knows some secret entrances, a good sense of adventure, a big portable speaker, some friends, and being prepared to live an unforgettable night.

Teach, Learn, Share

My favorite french poem, Sensation from Arthur Rimbaud (original version and english translation) :
Par les soirs bleus d’été j’irai dans les sentiers,
Picoté par les blés, fouler l’herbe menue :
Rêveur, j’en sentirai la fraicheur à mes pieds.
Je laisserai le vent baigner ma tête nue.
Je ne parlerai pas ; je ne penserai rien.
Mais l’amour infini me montera dans l’âme ;
Et j’irai loin, bien loin, comme un bohémien,
Par la Nature,—heureux comme avec une femme.

In summer evenings blue, pricked by the wheat
On rustic paths the thin grass I shall tread,
And feel its freshness underneath my feet,
And, dreaming, let the wind bathe my bare head,

I shall not speak, nor think, but, walking slow
Through Nature, I shall rove with Love my guide,
As gipsies wander, where, they do not know,
Happy as one walks by a woman’s side.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time, space, fun, good experience.
I can teach you french or some good old french recipes or both if you are a quick learner. :)
I can share some songs, books, movies, i really like, why i recommand them (i love to know connections between artists, their role in the evolution of their art and some anecdotes about them).
I am fond of philosophy, i had a period where i read works of famous philosophers : Platon, Pascal, Descartes, Rousseau, Kant, Shoppenhauer, Nietzsche... I can share the vision i have about it.
If you are curious about computers, i can explain to you how it works, the theory behind it, present you some of the latest techniques in artificial intelligence.
If you want to know some hidden spots in Paris or informations about french culture, i would be glad to share some of the infos i have.
